The Youth Income Opportunities Cluster of Action (YIOCA)
Youth Income Opportunities Cluster of Action - this intervention provides youth with resilience and sustainable income opportunities within the sphere of the circular economy as the basis for mobilising them for civic engagement.
The Citizen Participation Cluster of Action (CIPCA)
The Citizen Participation Cluster of Action (CIPCA) - this intervention facilitates youth of Busia County to meaningfully engage in the decisions made by the government and related institutions.
The Civic Awareness Cluster of Action (CACA)
The Civic Awareness Cluster of Action (CACA) - this intervention conscientizes residents of Busia County on their rights and obligations as citizens of Kenya and residents of the County. It is expected to lead to increased civic awareness among Busia residents.
The Citizen-led Accountability Cluster of Action (CLACA)
The Citizen-led Accountability Cluster of Action (CLACA) - this intervention deploys youth in the county to monitor the government and related institutions’ performance in discharging their mandate.

Who We Are
Abenengo for Development (ABEDEV) is a registered, cause-based membership CBO, established in 2018, and operating in Samia sub-county of Busia County with programs spanning across the county. Through our programs, we contribute to solutions aimed at ending persistent poverty and youth unemployment in Busia County. We work to promote good governance by ensuring institutions serve the people, especially the youth.
Our membership consists primarily of youth who are aged between 18 and 35 years and are passionate about uplifting the welfare of young people. Our physical office is on Sirindiro House in Funyula township, Samia sub-county, Busia County, Kenya.
