ABEDEV's Partnership
Our Partnership
Since its formation, ABENENGO for DEVELOPMENT (ABEDEV) has built a reputation for being a consistent voice for accountable and effective governance in Busia County.
ABEDEV’s partnership portfolio has grown in the last three years of our active operations to include a rich range of partners, alliances and spaces which help us advance our mission and objectives.
These include partnerships with collectives of vulnerable people such as the Shujaa Sickle Cell Group which operates in Nangina and NaNa wards and provides support to Sickle Cell warriors; local CBOs such as Jael’s Arm based in Ganga market in Samia subcounty and addressing issues of GBV and Isangalo Arts based in Bunyala subcounty; local NGOs such as CEDC with operations across Busia County and social enterprises such as Hydro Victoria, based in Port Victoria, Busia County; national NGOs such as Siasa Place and International NGOs including World Vision Kenya’s Funyula Area Cluster and ActionAid Kenya.
We have also joined important networks and alliances for advancing our mission, including the National CSOs Network which is supporting our MY ACT project across Samia subcounty funded by the KIOS Foundation; the Sio Siteko network operating in Busia County and aimed at protecting the catchment for Sio River and the Busia CSOs network which brings together CSOs operating within Busia County.
In addition, we have been invited to an important policy making forum within Busia County, the Non-Communicable Diseases Technical Working Group (NCD-TWG), through which we shall influence response to the needs of vulnerable groups suffering from NCD across Busia County.
ABEDEV will not only use these important partnerships and alliances to advance our vision, mission and objectives towards a better Busia for all, but will also nurture additional partnerships and alliances in pursuit of our vision.
